Hydrabad, India 2017

This journey marked our very first mission trip, and it took us to the vibrant city of Hyderabad, India. Our team was made up of individuals with a shared heart—to serve the Lord by serving others. Though we were new to mission work, we stepped forward with open hands and willing spirits, trusting that even the smallest acts of love could make a difference. We were blessed to partner with FETCH Ministry, who guided and supported us throughout this meaningful experience.

Our primary mission was to host a week-long Vacation Bible School for the children of Rameshwar Banda Village, located about an hour and a half from our home base in Hyderabad. Each day, we made the journey with anticipation and joy. The children welcomed us with bright smiles and eager hearts. Together, we played games, sang songs of faith, shared bible stories through puppet shows, and explored creativity through arts and crafts. Laughter filled the air, and bonds were formed that words can hardly capture.

Beyond the children’s ministry, we had the privilege of reaching out to the broader village community through a free medical clinic. With compassion and care, we offered basic health services—checking blood pressure and oxygen levels, washing and caring for tired feet, providing eyeglasses, and offering consultations. These simple acts became powerful expressions of dignity and love.

We also distributed food kits containing essential staples like lentils and rice, helping to nourish families in need and prayed for some of the families. It was a humbling reminder of how something so basic can bring comfort and hope.

One especially tender moment came when we visited a local hospital’s maternity ward. There, we shared small gift bags with new mothers and offered prayers of blessing over them and their newborns. It was a beautiful opportunity to speak life, encouragement, and God’s love into such a precious season.

During our time in Hyderabad, we also had the honor of sharing a message on “Faith” at a local church. Though the message required translation from English into Telugu, the spirit of unity and understanding transcended language. The congregation received the Word with open hearts, and it was a deeply moving experience for all of us.

This first mission trip transformed us in ways we never expected. It reshaped our perspective on service, deepened our compassion, and strengthened our faith. We returned home not only grateful for the opportunity but also inspired to continue this journey of serving others. With hearts full of praise, we look forward to many more missions ahead.
